Geo-Technical ROV solution
ROV-CPT is an undeniably unique and revolutionary equipment spread that combines a work-class ROV and a specially designed Coil-Tubing CPT & Core-Sampling skid.
This combination forms a one-of-a-kind Geo-Technical solution.
The total system is launched as a single unit, utilizing a standard ROV LARS. Upon seabed touchdown, ROV-CPT deploys its Suction Anchor into the seabed and pressurizes to hold the system in place, the whole system is powered by the ROV Aux hydraulics Circuit. Cone penetration commences and a continuous cone penetration of up to 100’ (30m) is achievable. If configured for Core-Sampling, then a 3-foot single core-sample can be achieved.
Our Geo-Technical engineer gathers the data, through Gregg Drilling’s proprietary software suite. Data is gathered and processed in-line with standard CPT practices.
